"Theres nothing like an affordable instrument that gives you what you need."

Duke Robillard

For more than three decades, Duke Robillard has brought his talents as a blues player to audiences throughout the world. From his blues beginnings in the 60s as a founder of Roomful of Blues to his current project as the Duke Robillard Band, Robillard is the man who brings blues music to the people.

Robillard’s talents as an incredible musician and prolific artist go beyond his solo work. Robillard has worked with some of the finest artists of the day, including Bob Dylan (“Time Out Of Mind”) and Ruth Brown (“R+B=Ruth Brown,” “A Good Day For The Blues”). His extensive touring and recording schedule makes him one of the busiest and most sought after blues guitarists.

Robillard uses Johnson Style-O and Tricone Resonators for touring and recording.

"I have used my Johnson Style-O and Tricone resonator guitars on The Front Porch Blues Tour with Charlie Musselwhite and Corey Harris among others and they stood the test and made an impression on everyone," Robillard said.

He's planning on using the resonators for his upcoming acoustic album. "Johnson has captured the feel and tone of the thirties resonators at a price that make them within reach of any players budget," Robillard said.

Robillard is also a fan of the 000-Style acoustic guitar w/ pickup, calling them "a really impressive guitar" and "the best amplified acoustic sound I've tried yet."

"I use a lot of high end instruments and I still love my Johnsons. Theres nothing like an affordable instrument that gives you what you need."
